If you are new to Parkland, this is the place to come and see what we are all about. Parkland is a community where residents list their homes for sale in order to buy another home they’ve had their eye on in the neighbourhood. Many residents grew up in this community and then moved back as adults. It is a place that draws you back and once here, you don’t want to leave.
Park 96 is a great place to meet other Parkland residents - truly a haven for parents and kids alike. If you are new to this neighborhood, bring a coffee and the kids and likely a coffee clutch will break out. If it’s a break you need, then the park is the place to go. Pack a book and a beverage for you and the kids, and then set them free!! That is the beauty of having an enclosed park area and gated entrance.
Park 96 is the community park and each resident must pay an annual fee of $150.00 per year. This fee is due by January 1st of every year. One access card is issued per household. This card is associated with your name and address, please don’t lend out your card. If the card is lost, it will be replaced at a charge of $10.00.
Important information to new residents, if you’re a Mom and have preschool-aged children, Parkland has a fantastic babysitting co-op. This co-op was established in the mid-seventies. It has been going strong ever since. The co-op has minimal commitment. When required, you take your child to another babysitting co-op member’s home for a few hours and, in turn, a co-op member’s child may need care in your home for a few hours.
