Our park is not just for kids. If you are new to the community or you’ve been here since day one, there are a few things you should know. The last census results told us that a great chunk of Parkland’s population is over 55. A great proportion of those numbers are people who have been in this community since the beginning.
We also have the addition of the villas and condos which has increased our over 55 community as well. If you are fortunate enough to live in the condos you have the benefit of being right next door to the park and all it’s wonderful amenities. Who needs a big back yard when you have a huge one right next door.
Living in a small space doesn’t mean you can’t invite the whole family for a BBQ on a warm sunny Sunday afternoon for some live entertainment. Book the cook house and have an afternoon of fun and adventure. And besides, clean up is a breeze!
Our park has certainly evolved since the beginning and we would love to see our 55+ community participate and take full advantage of all our park has to offer. With the recent completion of the basement in the clubhouse we now have this beautiful space available for all sorts of events. This would be an excellent place to introduce a community 55+ club. Bridge night or even monthly socials could all be arranged in this beautiful backdrop. We ask that you come in and check it out if you haven’t already.
